Your orange belt goal
When you earn this belt, you will be able to…
Keep a conversation going by talking about feelings, school, animals, colours and likes.
- Ask おげんきですか (Ogenki desu ka?) and reply げんきです (Genki desu) or まあまあです (Maa maa desu).
- Ask なんねんせいですか (Nan-nensei desu ka?) and say your year level, for example さんねんせいです (San-nensei desu).
- Ask whether someone likes cats or soccer: ねこが すきですか (Neko ga suki desu ka?) or サッカーが すきですか (Sakkaa ga suki desu ka?).
- Ask about favourite animals and colours: すきな どうぶつは？ (Suki na doubutsu wa?) and すきな いろは？ (Suki na iro wa?).
- Choose answers that really express your opinion, such as はい、だいすきです (Hai, daisuki desu) or いいえ、すきじゃないです (Iie, suki ja nai desu).
